with its sweeping view of Cape Cod Bay, the Starboard House will give you serious I’ve-died-and-gone-to-heaven vibes. Remotely located in the North Truro area of the Cape, the stately structure offers a tranquil getaway. Or, if serenity isn’t your bag, it’s one hell of a setting for an end-of-summer rager.
Do does the modern and elegant wood exterior not win you over? (Sheesh, tough crowd.) Then the contemporary interior certainly will. It comes replete with state of the art electronics, sound systems, and security video monitoring. But, really, what crazy soul wants to spend time inside when they’ve got an end-to-end front terrace, spacious rooftop deck, oceanfront sun porch, and open living areas
Sitting high on the bluffs, the beachfront house is about 75 steps down to a trail that leads to the beach. So there’s no excuse not to hit the beach everyday. (As if there would ever be one.)
The Starboard House’s bright entrance immediately leads into the cooking, dining, and entertainment area. A screened-in porch from the living room features an outdoor kitchen, lest you suddenly get the munchies amid all out fun in the sunshine.
The best feature of all, in my humble opinion, is the private haven of a master bedroom located at the other end of the house, which attaches to an ensuite with a view. If you are so bold, you can even let the in-laws stay over at the second master bedroom located (mercifully) on the lower floor.
You can book the Starboard House for $2,822 per night. And you should, for these summer games are but fleeting.
