Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri confirmed his departure from the Bianconeri. The Italian coach will leave the club when the season finishes. After winnng five successive Serie A titles with Juve, two Italian Super Cups, and four Coppa Italia titles, the 51-year-old announced the end of his time at the club after around five years in charge. Even though Allegri was not able to win the Champions League, his reign as head coach is positively portrayed as he was inducted into the Italian Federation’s hall of fame. Now, the club management need to find a world class manager in order to take the club forward.
Juventus Place Maurizio Sarri as Their Main Coaching Candidate
Maurizio Sarri is one of the best Italian managers. He has a great style of play which can only be applied among top players over time. The 60-year-old’s time at Chelsea has been great. Although his performance as coach is being debated, he finished third place with Chelsea, securing them a spot in next season’s Champions League. The forner Napoli boss also led his team to the Europa League final, where they will take on Arsenal on 29 May, 2019. The coach is famous in his home country Italy, although he never won a title with Napoli, he led a great title challenge in the 2017/18 season, only to finish second, four points behind Juventus.
The Italian champions have identified Maurizio Sarri as the best man to takeover at the club. To coach at Juventus, winning the league title every season is a mandatory objective. Nowadays, the very main objective is to win the Champions League. Being an Italian and coaching in Italy for several years, Sarri knows the league and country inside out. If given a great squad like the one of Juventus, he could surely bring results.
Sarri has a contract with Chelsea until 2021. The management have faith in him, it will be difficult for Juventus to lure him to the club. The Italian club will try everything in their power to convince Chelsea to let go of the coach. Although it will be difficult to bring Sarri to the club, if the appointment is successful, the new boss can do great things with the reigning Italian champions.
